At Honsen Interiors we understand that designing a home is a deeply personal endeavor, requiring complete trust between client and designer. We view the design process as inherently collaborative, where the best ideas are arrived at through good communication. We aim to build close relationships with our clients, allowing us to meticulously interpret their style and tastes, all while keeping a close eye on budget and timeline. We are a boutique firm that was built exclusively through referrals.

APPROACH

We are rooted in the concept that your home decor should reflect the way you get dressed in the morning; mix and match; high-end staples paired with low cost basics, both of which are always the best quality one can afford. Don’t be afraid of color, but never underestimate the power of neutrals.

About ALLISON

Allison received her BFA in Interior Design from the storied, Harrington College of Design in Chicago. She subsequently worked in the design departments at Strategic Hotels and Resorts and Starbucks before starting Honsen Interiors to pursue her lifelong passion for residential design. Allison is an active listener who believes in building a personal connection with her clients before beginning the design journey together. At a time when people are spending more time at home, Allison works hard to create spaces that reflect the homeowners aesthetic and enhance their sense of well-being. No two homes are alike and she finds great satisfaction in locating the perfect piece to serve a specific function in their home. Her favorite moments are when she receives an appreciative text message from a happy client. 

Allison was born in Chicago, IL and has lived and worked in the area all her life. She presently lives in the city with her two aristocratic Japanese Chins, Humphrey & Rita.
